branding = expressing

The U.S. has become a place of appearances. Everyone now a days cares more about their exterior, rather than being concerned with the way they are on the inside. In 2006 there were about 17,000,000 cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries performed nationally. Not only are Americans getting face lifts, so are product packagings. The new trend: aluminum bottles.

Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Budwiser, and many other hip beverages have begun to use this design of packaging to get the most out of the wrapping.

In May 2007 Mountain Dew unveiled their Green Label Art, a designer aluminum bottle line with graphics done by a collaboration of graphic designers and artists. The designs are voted on by the public and the artist is awarded a glorious sum of $10,000 and the chance to be apart of the next wave of green label designers. sweeeet!

Watch out world!! Green Label Art is counting down!
The big launch date: JANUARY 28 2008
